Dr. George Stricker is the past Dean and Distinguished Research professor at the Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University. He is also on the faculty of the Institute for Integrated Training in Psychotherapy. Currently as well, he is the clinical research director of a grant from Shoplifters Anonymous and Principal Investigator on a research grant from the Lindemann Foundation for a project entitled, "The Experience of Grandparenting." His resume lists a lifetime of educational, research and editorial activities, authorship and co-authorship of over 21 books, 32 chapters, and 92 articles, not counting book reviews and a lifetime as well of professional presentations. His recent book Self-Disclosure in the Therapeutic Relationship is the basis of this interview.
