Arthur Nielsen, MD has a full-time practice of psychiatry, psychoanalysis, and couples therapy.  He is a faculty member at the Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis, a Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine, and a faculty member at Northwestern''s Family Institute.  For many years at Northwestern, he taught the psychiatry resident’s journal club and a course on research methodology in psychiatry, and for the past nine years he has taught a course at the Psychoanalytic Institute titled, “The Underlying Logic of Clinical Psychoanalysis.”
