Mary Rich, Ph.D. and Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work, is a Nationally Certified Gambling Counselor and Certified Supervisor of Alcohol and other Addictions Counselors in Illinois. She teaches in the continuing education curriculum at Smith College School for Social Work. She is a widely sought after lecturer and consultant, consulting with such organizations as the Illinois Department of Public Aid and Napier, a program for drug-addicted mothers and their infants. Prior to going into full time private practice she worked for 13 years in in-patient addictions programs. She completed her doctoral studies at the Chicago Institute for Clinical Social Work, with a dissertation on women gamblers.
