Dr. Frank Summers is a clinical psychologist in the private practice of psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic therapy. He holds a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Chicago and received his psychoanalytic training from the Chicago Institute of Psychoanalysis, where he is currently on the faculty. In addition he is an associate professor in the Department of psychiatry at Northwestern University Medical School, where he has taught courses in object relations theories for many years. He is the author of the recently published text: Object Relations Theories and Psychopathology: A Comprehensive Text.
